About Our Curriculum
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is the world’s largest open school and one of India’s three National Boards of Secondary Education. It offers flexible, self-paced learning through open and distance modes, supported by print and digital media. NIOS is authorized to enroll, examine, and certify learners up to the pre-degree level, maintaining standards on par with state and national boards. Its curriculum is developed in collaboration with educational experts, making it a strong pathway to higher education and careers. At Velammal Bodhi Campus, NIOS is offered at two levels:
